New videos added!

We just uploaded two more videos to our http://YouTube.com/MyPowerfulhome channel. See how to use your portable gas generator or diesel generator to power your home in a power outage. It is a great option fo the DIY or for the homeowner who feels more confident with the skills of an electician. If you have a generator already, then all that you need to do is determine the amount of circuits that the generator can power. For example, if you have a 5000 watt generator, then you can power a fridge (400w), freezer (500w), medium sized microwave (1200w), gas furnace fan (900w), compact flourescent or LED circuit lighting,(150w), and a TV & computer (500w,750w). The total is about 4400 watts. These are approximate wattages, so be sure to check indiviual appliances. If you leave out the microwave you could use a 3200w or a 4000w generator. Enjoy the videos!
